Philippians 3:17 NIV - “Join together in following my example, brothers and sisters, and just as you have us as a model, keep your eyes on those who live as we do”
The process of maturing in your faith and becoming more like Christ is discipleship. As someone grows in their faith, they reach behind them to others who are walking where they have already been, helping them become like Jesus too.

The Importance of Faith in Increasingly Hostile Times
Ephesians 6:11-12 - Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.
The world is becoming increasingly opposed to God and His Word. Christians must be prepared to put their faith into practice by wearing the armor of God while shining His light in a world of darkness.
